Design and Optimization of Pathways:
Specific biochemical synthesis routes are chosen based on the target product, and the metabolic pathways of the cells are designed and improved. Through biological technologies such as gene editing, engineered or modified microorganisms are constructed or transformed to achieve the production of specific products.
Biological Fermentation & Biocatalysis:
Developing fermentation processes for a variety of industrial microorganisms such as E. coli, actinomycetes, yeast, and molds, we optimize the fermentation process through experimental research and computational modeling, and scale it up from the laboratory to the industrial production scale. We also engage in the construction and modification of enzymes, immobilization of enzymes, and optimization of enzyme-catalyzed processes. By combining enzyme catalysis with chemical synthesis, we efficiently synthesize a range of products.
Separation and Purification Technology:
With expertise in organic synthesis, chemical engineering, peptide separation, chiral separation, fermentation product separation, and equipped with a variety of separation and purification equipment including membrane devices, centrifugal equipment and preparative chromatography, we are engaged in the development of separation and purification technology for various biological fermentation and biotransformation products, as well as the scale-up of processes.

With the ability to control processes, design equipment, and apply scaling strategies, this program uses simulation and computational tools to predict and optimize performance, successfully scaling laboratory-scale processes to industrial production levels while ensuring production efficiency and product quality while meeting scaled-up demands.
