Key board appointments included internationally renowned scientist Prof. Shengming Ma from Fudan University, who was also named ASAB Chairman. In addition,  Prof. Yuguo Zheng from Zhejiang University of Technology and  Prof. Phil S. Baran from Scripps Research also joined as board members, bringing more world-class scientific talent to Apeloa.

Apeloa’s Chairman Brian Zhu welcomed the ASAB members to the board and presented them with certificates. Brian spoke about the role of ASAB in guiding strategy, informing technical decisions, and providing valuable scientific insights. During the meeting, members made a number of key recommendations to strengthen Apeloa’s position in the global market.

Members stressed the importance of collaboration with academic and research institutions. Partnerships in academia and research can help Apeloa stay at the forefront of new technologies, gain strength crucial fields and improve its visibility in the scientific community.

The meeting highlighted the value of sustainability in pharmaceutical innovation, including for AI-driven technologies in the chemical industry. These recommendations closely align with Apeloa’s own strategy, which plans to focus on high-value fine chemicals and explore new approaches like electrochemistry and photochemistry, to meet demand for sustainable and high-quality products.

For Apeloa, these ideas inspired new and innovative ways to streamline drug development. By adopting shorter reaction paths and simpler conditions, Apeloa can improve the efficiency of organic synthesis and reduce costs, thus speeding up new drug production. The approach also applauds more creativity in research teams, to help break through conventions in chemical research.

Through ASAB discussions and “Doctor’s Club” presentations, Apeloa demonstrates commitment to fostering a collaborative environment for scientific exchange and technological innovation. The company’s R&D efforts will continue to benefit from global expertise, contributing to a more sustainable future and healthcare innovation.
